What I'm All About

I love music. In fact, I am a lifelong musician and appreciator of all things (good) music. I like physics & math more than I probably should. I like the science channel way too much.

I am extremely passionate about design, data visualization, typography, & interaction, but what really gets me going is user experience (you were warned about the nerd thing). If I can combine all into one project or career, then I will simply be the happiest person. They say that if you love what you do, then you never have to work a day in your life & with my time in design & data visualization that is definitely something that I whole-heartedly believe.

In an ideal world, everyone would love to create products with a user centered design, amazing interactions & stellar typography all while rocking out to the Clash. Until that day comes, I'm your guy.

    Ideate and deliver experiences that simplify complex processes for a wide range of users. Understand how users use the products and identify, design and implement new features with interactive prototypes. I work closely with the product team to ensure that our designs will delight the user and strategically build the brands business goals.

  • Forio  —  Interaction Designer

    (January 2013 – May 2014)

    Work with multiple client teams ranging from Harvard to Salesforce to the CDC creating data-based simulations to help train. I created user-journeys along side subject matter experts to understand the content, the needs of the users, & the uses of the data. Then, created prototypes, our team would test various designs and iterate on the results to ensure the potential users would learn best. I worked along side developers and project managers to deliver the project plans & budgets for the features of the simulations.

  • H Boutique  —  Web / User Experience Design

    (February 2012 – May 2012)

    Design a new website based around the user. Provide user experience design for high-end & elegant site. Keep a very close timeline & work with a remote team.

  • Harry Ritchie’s Jewelers  —  Web Specialist

    Create user centered design ideas. Produce a socially driven web presence. Create and maintain the company’s email marketing campaigns.

    Produce designs that meet client needs and drive website traffic. Create complex design ideas within strict deadlines. Work with developers to integrate designs into an existing web infrastructure. Actively seek clients and manage self-promotion. Manage photographic productions and develop film and prints in a darkroom.
